Ike Glass, CEO of Glass Operating Group and former chairman of OTA was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame last Thursday in Tulsa. Glass, a patriot, entrepreneur and successful businessman learned a strong work ethic from his father while participating in the family-owned trucking business as a young man. Now, CEO of the company, he has turned it into a major enterprisethat operates throughout the Midwest.
He graduated from OSU with a degree in business administration and is highly though of for his efforts to make higher education and post-secondary education available to all Oklahomans. He has enabled many young people to pursue higher education by providing both encouragement and fi nancial support.
Glass has been appointed by both Gov. Frank Keating and Gov. Brad Henry to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Glass has served as president of the Newkirk School Board, the OSU Alumni Association, the Oklahoma Transportation Center and the Oklahoma Trucking Association (1981). He has also served as a vice chair of the Governors Conference on Small business and chairman of the State Chamber of Commerce.
