House and Senate Committees to Hold Hearings on Distracted Driving

The Subcommittee on Highways and Transit of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will hold a hearing Oct. 21 titled “Addressing the Problem of Distracted Driving.” Randy Mullett, Vice President of Government Relations for Con-way Freight, will testify on behalf of ATA. ATA supports the safe use of technologies and encourages the consideration of policies and safeguards to limit distractions for all vehicle drivers in its progressive safety agenda. The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation will also hold a hearing concerning distracted driving on Oct. 28.
