On Dec. 14, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) published a Notice in the Federal Register soliciting nominations for its Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC). The MCSAC was originally established Sept. 8, 2006, and included 15 members. FMCSA intends to expand the MCSAC and is soliciting names of interested persons from the safety enforcement, safety advocacy and motor carrier industry communities to potentially serve on the committee. The committee generates ideas and provides recommendations to the FMCSA Administrator on a number of safety programs, policies and regulations. For further information regarding the MCSAC, including reports, meeting minutes and membership, visit http://mcsac.fmcsa.dot.gov/. For the nomination application, please contact Jack Kostelnik of FMCSA at (202) 366-5721 or by email at Jack.Kostelnik@dot.gov.
